They are both hot sellers in the Seeker series but what are the differences between them. In this article we will introduce them in detail to guide your better purchase.

Again, the comparison will consist of four parts: Basic performance、appearance, functions, and other details.

1. Basic Performance

In this section we will compare the lumens, run time and max throw of these two torches. From here we will get the most basic and most important difference between the two torches. The data will be presented in the form of a table.

As we can see from the table, the difference between Seeker 2 Pro and Seeker 3 Pro is not really that great. The Seeker 2 Pro has a slightly longer throw than the Seeker 3 Pro in mode 2 to mode 5, but not by much. In mode 2 the difference between the Seeker 2 Pro and Seeker 3 Pro is 20 metres, but in both mode 3 and mode 4 the difference is only 5 metres. The main feature that the Seeker 3 Pro has been upgraded are lumens and run time. The Seeker 3 Pro has a maximum lumen of 4200 and the Seeker 2 Pro has a maximum lumen difference of 1000. In terms of run time, the Seeker 3 Pro is better than Seeker 2 Pro, even three days longer than it at the lowest lumens. So, those who are looking for longer run time and higher lumen can make the Seeker 3 Pro your best choice.

2. Appearance

As far as appearance is concerned, Seeker 2 Pro and Seeker 3 Pro are also very similar. Basically, no major changes have been made. Below is a comparison of the two products from the front and the side view. Although at a glance they appear to be the same, there are some subtle differences that can be noticed on closer inspection.

First is the side switch. Seeker 3 Pro equipped with a rotary knob switch that can be rotated 360 degrees whereas Seeker 2 Pro equipped with a simple side button. The newly adopted rotary knob switch on the head allows for smooth adjustment between brightness levels, making it more intelligent and functional than the Seeker 2 Pro's buttons. The second is their bezel. It is clear from the picture that the bezel on the Seeker 3 Pro is a little sharper than that on the Seeker 2 Pro and would be more suited to tactical needs. Third is the location of the lanyard hole, which is on the back of the Seeker 3 Pro and on the front of the Seeker 2 Pro. This is probably a detail that people tend to overlook. The last point is the High Performance LEDs. Seeker 3 Pro uses 4 high-performance cool white LEDs while the Seeker 2 Pro uses 3.

These are some of the differences that we can see with the naked eye, here are the specific data for more reference. The size and weight of the two are very close to each other.

3. Functions

As for function, there is no doubt that the Seeker 3 Pro, the latest generation of the Seeker series, is the most. Basically all the functions that the Seeker 2 Pro has, the Seeker 3 Pro will have, such as the memory function, the auto-lock and the active thermal management. On top of this, the Seeker 3 Pro has an additional proximity sensor. If the head of the torch is too close to the object when the torch is in the third or higher mode, it will automatically reduce the output to avoid the danger of overheating. Keep remember, the lens need to be clean and free of water or dirt. And any scratches on the lens can trigger it.
