The Olight HS2 is a compact and lightweight headlamp with a uni-body aluminum alloy structure designed for runners and outdoor use.
- Technical Details
115g, 400 Lumens :
The HS2 is designed for running and hiking. It has two LEDs - one for close range and one for further range.
It has four output levels, battery level indication and a unique audible beep to let you know when the battery is getting low.
The battery connection is USB so you can also power the light from a powerbank giving more lighting options.
The HS2 is one of the most compact and lightweight headlamps on the market built for night running, hiking, or any other active need for hands-free light.
We also made sure to have the light feature a bright beam with great runtimes including a maximum of 400 lumens and a runtime of 18 hours with a dual LED system
supporting either long range or up close and wide illumination.
The battery pack can be charged via micro-USB or you can power the light directly and bypass the pack if it runs out of power with any USB power source.
Whether you are just getting started or conquer the night 7 days a week, the HS2 will help you reach any active goals you’ve set your mind to.
✓ Can be powered directly from any USB power source; never run out of battery.
✓ Dual LED system for long range and up-close wide illumination.
✓ Audible beep at 10% battery capacity to alert the user to charge.
✓ Super lightweight at only 4 ounces. It is made of lightweight aluminum alloy with a compact uni-body structure.
✓ Wide illumination area. Its dual LED light source with TIR optic lens give either independent low beam (close-range light), high beam (far-range light) or a mixed beam combining both of them.
✓ Great runtime. It has a 2000mAh Lipo battery pack that supports a runtime up to 18 hours for continuous use.
✓ Alternative lighting easily available. In case the provided battery pack runs out of power, the headlamp can still be powered by any external Micro-USB power source and resume normal work by plugging the charging cable to it, further extending its runtime.
✓ Smart power level indication. Four-level battery power indication and low-power beeping sound warning in addition, helping to keeping you updated of the power status.
✓ Gradual brightness changes. When turned on/off or changing modes, the brightness will change gradually to protect eyes from the stimulation caused by sudden brightness changes.

- This torch is amazing much brighter than my Silva or petzl I am well impressed with both the spread of light and the throw. The torch unit itself is made from aluminium which adds to the overall asthetics of the item, Its lightweight with the battery pack on the rear so its balanced.Charging is a doddle via USB from either mains or pc and the charging cover is a snug fit to maintain the waterproofing. The big switch is easy to operate and the default setting when first switched on does not really need changing for me personally but if needed the switch is big and easy to reach and a simple click changes modes also the way it gradually changes for a second so as not to dazzle you full on is a neat touch. The indicator on the battery pack to show charging and charged and a single press to show charge left is a good idea.
- This is a very compact headlamp which offers low or high modes with three beam profiles of either flood, throw or a combined beam from its two dedicated Cree XP-G2 LED's, both of which sit beneath Total Internal Reflection (TIR) lenses.
Unboxing the torch, it sits inside a small black and blue zipped semi-rigid case together with the headband and battery pack (2000mAh Lithium-Polymer cell), as well as some instructions, a micro-USB charging cable and a couple of spare plastic cable guides for the headband.
The battery pack is a sealed unit with four little blue LED's and a push-button to give an indication of how much charge remains. The rubber cover for the micro-USB port is very snug and I see no chance of water ingress under normal use.
- I own a lot of Olight torches and actually have a couple of different head torches, which I use for different situations. I have both a H1R Nova and the H2R Nova so when I saw that they had brought out another one I of course was interested. I didn’t get this one for jogging, as most people probably will but more for night walking, camping and night fishing. The torch comes on with both beams on high and from there you choose which is best for the situation you are in.
So you get a torch that gives you from 50 lumen up to 400 using 2 LED and TIR that is rechargeable and durable. The whole thing comes in Olights soft shell accessory case with spare clips and a charging lead. The case is great for storing the torch when not in use and will itself offer a lot of protection to your newest addition. I love it and it is now living with my other Olight torches and will get lots of use for the years to come.
